Madam Chair, the member's speech was very thoughtful, measured and passionate. Like him, in my riding of Vancouver East, the Vancouver branch of the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians also stands with the people of Ukraine and has been calling for a peaceful resolution. Their hearts bleed for the fact that their family and friends are in this horrible situation. The Canadian government has taken action with our allies. I am wondering whether the member thinks that the day will come when there will be a peaceful resolution and this violence will end.
