Mr. Speaker, that is not a bad idea, and I am pleased that we are having these debates to put forward these kinds of proposals. I think that people in our ridings are at their wits' end. Recently, someone who saw me asking for more for seniors called me out saying that there was nothing for families. It is not because I am asking for more for seniors that I am not asking for more for families too. The average family, or the average household, is struggling to pay for essentials right now. An increase in the family allowance would certainly be welcome.
