Mr. Speaker, we have frozen the market for the acquisition of handguns. We are combatting gun smuggling and trafficking. This year's fall economic statement includes additional investments of $137 million in the CBSA. Our new legislative measure will also make it easier to revoke licences of individuals charged with domestic violence or harassment. These are evidence-based measures that will save lives. We are seeking to make communities safer, while the Conservative Party is fighting to make assault weapons legal again.
