I hope everyone will join me in welcoming more community members from Scarborough here with us today: Fazela Wedemire, Kareem Wedemire, Neallos Wedemire, Jayden Wedemire, and Amreek Wedemire.
Welcome to your House.
I see that the students are actually finally here today. I hope everyone will join me in welcoming the wonderful students from St. Agatha Catholic School, with trustee Nancy Crawford and their teachers Shannon Murphy, Deirdre Moloney-Sciberras, Hyacinth Fernandes, Kathleen Dillon, and Theresa Moulds. Welcome to the House.
It is my absolute pleasure to introduce to the House, if you’ll allow, Speaker, young Leia Furtado, a grade 4 student who actually started her own school cleanup crew, a committee called the Litter Mittee—like “committee”—at Birchcliff Heights. With her we have a front-line hero, a nurse, Jennifer Furtado, as well as her brother, Benjamin Furtado, who is a grade 6 student
I also have our placement student from York University, Shivan Gaba, who has been a wonderful addition to our legislative office. Please give them a big round of applause and welcome them to the House.
I would like to take a moment to introduce two special guests to the House. Today, page captain Julie Harrop’s parents are here. Sabrina Aziz and Chris Harrop are here. Please welcome them to the House.
