Mr. Speaker, there is a PBO report that shows that Ontario families this year alone will have a net loss of $478 because of the carbon tax. In 2030, once the Liberals' measures are fully implemented, the net loss for Ontario families will be $2,316. I wonder how the member opposite sells that to the people in his riding.

Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague from Cypress Hills—Grasslands for his question. Our government has brought in many measures to help families and make life more affordable. The Canada child benefit, the Canada workers benefit and the climate action incentive payments go out to the residents in my riding. There are the two middle-class tax cuts, and we raised the base the personal exemption amount to $15,000. We did the first one in 2015. We will continue to have the backs of Canadian families, whether in my riding of Vaughan—Woodbridge or the member opposite's riding of Cypress Hills—Grasslands.

Mr. Speaker, when the member opposite talks about basics, I would like to point out the basic fact that, just yesterday, every member in the House, including every Conservative member, had the opportunity to support Canadian families and children by voting to support a national school food program. What did they do? Every single one of them voted against it. On this side of the House, we will continue to support Canadian families.

Madam Speaker, my colleague just said again that the Conservatives wanted to repeal the tax on families. How is a family defined in the context of their motion? It is not defined. Is it when there are at least two parents and one child? Is a couple without children a family? That will be pretty much—

Madam Speaker, someone was unaware that I was speaking. The member just referred to families, and I would like to know what is the Conservatives' definition of family. Are we talking about two parents with one child? Will people who have no children pay the carbon tax? I would like to understand that part. I would also like the member to tell me whether it is true that low-income families receive a rebate in the provinces that are subject to the carbon tax. Since Quebec is not subject to the carbon tax, we do not have much information about it.

Mr. Speaker, I just checked and it seems that the carbon tax still applies to farmers and families. I am therefore going to request a recorded division.
