Mr. Speaker, when the member opposite talks about basics, I would like to point out the basic fact that, just yesterday, every member in the House, including every Conservative member, had the opportunity to support Canadian families and children by voting to support a national school food program. What did they do? Every single one of them voted against it. On this side of the House, we will continue to support Canadian families.

Mr. Speaker, since we took office in 2015, our government has shown that we have always been there to support the public broadcaster. We gave back the $115 million that the Conservatives cut, despite the fact that the Bloc Québécois, which was the official opposition at the time, failed to prevent the Conservatives from making those budget cuts. We gave that funding back to the CBC. We will continue to be there despite the media crisis, despite all the difficulties that our Canadian media are facing right now. We will continue to support our public broadcaster, and I would invite all the parties here, except the Conservatives, who want to axe CBC/Radio-Canada, to help us find good solutions.

Mr. Speaker, I want to thank the member for his work on the white paper and for all he does for the community. Yes, we will always support trans communities; we will always support queer communities across this country. This is why we have a $100-million plan, a 2SLGBTQI action plan, that puts money in the hands of those on the front lines who are helping those communities. On this side of the House, we will always be on the side of those communities.

Madam Speaker, I appreciate the member's very reasonable question. While I might respond that, a lot of times, I see the Bloc making issues that deal strictly with Quebec as opposed to all of Canada, his comment about Bill C-234 is very appropriate. I recognize that Bloc members voted for the bill when it was here in the House, where the people we represent are the common people of this country. Everybody voted for that. We supported it, and it was passed unanimously here in the House of Commons. It was then sent to the Senate, where it is being stalled and delayed. Therefore, I appreciate the member's comment and the support that the Bloc gave to Bill C-234. I look forward to the changes being made to Bill C-234 such that it is passed and helps our farmers.

Mr. Speaker, as this vote concerns funding for the new 988 suicide crisis line, I would respectfully ask for a recorded vote so that we can see which members in the House truly support 988.
