Mr. Speaker, are Canadians right to worry that the government might apply this pilot project, which has cost the lives of more than 2,500 people, outside British Columbia?

Mr. Speaker, after eight years of this Liberal government, everything costs more and, unfortunately, it is not over yet. As we know, the House passed Bill C-234 and even the Greens voted for this bill, which will give farmers a tax break. Then, on the weekend, the Prime Minister panicked. He picked up the phone and called the senators he appointed to make sure that Bill C-234 did not get passed. Unfortunately, it worked, and that is the problem. Why is the Prime Minister always so quick to take even more money out of the pockets of Canadian families?

Mr. Speaker, after eight years of a Liberal government, everything is more expensive in Canada. These Liberals, with the support, assistance and enthusiasm of the Bloc, are implementing and creating a new tax, the second Liberal carbon tax. That is why it is costly to vote for the Bloc Québécois. The department acknowledges that it has not assessed the regional impact of the second carbon tax. News flash: the public transit that is available in Plateau Mont‑Royal is not available in Cabano. Could the Bloc Québécois explain why it agrees with the second Liberal tax?

Mr. Speaker, after eight years under this Liberal government, everything in Canada costs more. Thanksgiving is just two days away, but Canadians do not feel like celebrating. Unfortunately, the Prime Minister led them down the garden path once again. Three weeks ago, the Prime Minister said that Canadians would see prices come down in time for Thanksgiving. Once again, that did not happen. What could happen and what will happen, however, is the arrival of a second carbon tax implemented with the enthusiastic support of the Bloc Québécois. A growing number of Quebeckers are starting to realize that voting for the Bloc will cost them. Does the Liberal government know that?

Mr. Speaker, I think it is a real shame that the government House leader will not let the Minister of Finance answer a very simple question. My colleague from Simcoe North asked a very simple question yesterday. It is very simple. Anyone who is carrying debt knows what the interest on that debt is, and how much it is costing them. Unfortunately, the Minister of Finance, the Deputy Prime Minister, did not have the answer. I am offering the Deputy Prime Minister a chance to redeem herself. How much interest on the debt will Canadians have to pay every year?

Mr. Speaker, 1.5 million Canadians are using food banks. Today, the reality is that rent costs twice as much as it did eight years ago. For Canadians, mortgages currently cost twice as much as they did eight years ago, when the Liberals took office. Something is wrong here in Canada. Meanwhile, what are we seeing? We are seeing the Prime Minister living large and jet setting off to New York and back. What we are asking is that the Prime Minister come down off his tower, come back down to earth and tell Canadians what he will actually do to help them.
