Mr. Speaker, her government waited 10 days before saying yes to a completely legitimate and urgent request from the Government of British Columbia. Is the minister aware that at least 60 people died because these people and this government waited 10 days to say yes to British Columbia?

Mr. Speaker, thank you very much. Could the minister tell us how many days her government took to respond to the request from the British Columbia government?

Madam Speaker, the Christmas holidays are two weeks away. Families will gather around the table. However, all families are worried about inflation right now. What is more, inflation is hitting them where it hurts the most: food, which is a basic necessity. There is one thing that the government could do immediately that is entirely within its control. I am talking about taxes. Will the government promise not to increase taxes in 2023, yes or no?

Madam Speaker, I thank my hon. colleague for talking about his personal experiences throughout his life. First and foremost, we are all human, and we have lived through certain situations. I appreciate the fact that he raised those issues. My question is quite simple. During 17 days, nothing was done by the government. Even on February 11, the Prime Minister said that laws could be applied to solve this problem. Three days later, he tabled that bill. What happened in those three days to have him table that bill?
