Mr. Speaker, if the Leader of the Opposition actually cared more about Canadians than he does about his own political interests, he would be supporting the 400,000 kids we are going to help with the national school food program. Instead of opposing it at every turn, he would be voting in favour of the dental care program that has already helped over 200,000 seniors and will, as of next week, start helping young people and Canadians with disabilities. He would be standing with us on expanding child care spaces instead of campaigning against it. However, he does not care about Canadians. He cares only about himself.

Mr. Speaker, the Leader of the Opposition talks about affordability, but he is standing against raising taxes on the wealthiest so that we can give more supports to those who actually need it. He is standing against our school food program, which would help 400,000 kids across the country have fuller bellies as they study, and would take about $800 a year of pressure off of the families that are pressed with the cost of groceries. We are continuing to deliver dental care supports to seniors and, as of next week, we will be delivering dental care supports to young people and Canadians with disabilities. We are there for Canadians. He is voting against it.

Mr. Speaker, what the Leader of the Opposition is saying would be more credible if he had not voted against sending $121 million to the Province of Ontario to fight against organized crime and car theft, and if he had not announced that he is voting against our fight against money laundering. He still has time to change his perspective and get behind our initiatives to fight organized crime, fight auto theft and stand up for Canadians. He cut thousands of jobs, under his previous government, from border services. We have invested in them, and we will continue to do so.

Mr. Speaker, when will the leader of the official opposition understand that voting against the construction of 71,000 new homes through the apartment construction loan program is not going to help anyone and that voting against the construction of 12,000 new affordable homes through the rapid housing initiative will not help Canadians. He chose to play partisan games last week in trying to shut down this House through a MAGA-inspired approach while we continue to stand up for Canadians and deliver on the things they need. While they play partisan games, we will continue to fight for Canadians.

Mr. Speaker, viewers watching at home may be surprised to see the extent to which the leader of the official opposition is choosing to focus on me, when they are worried about affordability, they are worried about growth, they are worried about health care, and when we are moving forward with a budget that would deliver a grocery rebate to Canadians, that would deliver health care, that would deliver dental care, that would deliver a plan for great jobs for the middle class for the coming years. That member and his party will be voting tonight against that budget that would help Canadians. Shame on them. We should be helping Canadians here; that is not what he is doing.

Mr. Speaker, our family has been good friends with this family for about 50 years. As always, we work with the Ethics Commissioner to make sure that all rules are followed. If the Leader of the Opposition was truly concerned about affordability for Canadians, he would be voting to support our budget, which puts forward concrete measures to help Canadians from coast to coast to coast. He would be fast-tracking the grocery rebate through this House to make sure we could deliver, as quickly as possible, help to 11 million Canadians, and he would not have stood to vote against the dental care supports, which already help 250,000 young people right across this country.

Mr. Speaker, if the member for Kelowna—Lake Country were really concerned about hard-working Canadians, she would drop her opposition to supporting families with dental care for their kids. She would stop her opposition to sending a $500 cheque to the lowest-income renters across the country, who need help making ends meet right now. The Conservative Party continues to talk about trying to be there for people, but when it comes time to stand up and vote to help them, not only are its members voting against it, but they are doing everything they can to kill our dental and rental bill. Shame on them. When will they do the right thing and support low-income and middle-class Canadians?
