Mr. Speaker, what that little performance just showed is that the Leader of the Opposition is using his brokenist argument around Canada to explain why he would cut dental programs, cut child care, step away from any climate action and withdraw support to draw in investment. That is his excuse. The problem with that argument, however, is that Canada actually has the strongest fiscal position of any of the world's advanced economies. Our choice is putting that strong fiscal position in service of investment in dental care, in child care, in pharma, in Canadians.

Mr. Speaker, we see once again the Leader of the Opposition's tried and true tactic of attacking the facts when they do not suit his purposes. The international bond rating agencies, like Moody's and S&P, have ranked the top economies as AAA economies: the United States, Germany and then Canada, some of the world's largest economies. They have said that our fiscal plan is sustainable, as we are there to support Canadians, as we demonstrate fiscal prudence and as we support Canadians through this difficult time. He can rage war on experts and the facts and demonize them all he likes, but we will keep being there for Canadians, grounded in the facts.

Mr. Speaker, once again the leader of the official opposition will never let the facts get in the way of a good political argument. The reality is this is the government that approved a historic $40-billion LNG Canada investment by Shell and Asian partners to export LNG to Asian economies to replace coal and to make sure we are contributing in a strong way. We will continue to move forward on ensuring a cleaner energy future for people around the world. Canada and Canadian workers especially in the energy sector deserve to be part of the future we are building, and we are making sure they will.
